   Ann's Story

Picture
My name is Ann Morris, and I established Digital Fancies as a way to help others preserve
and enjoy family memorabilia  and family heritage.

From   the   beginning

Where   we   are   now

Thank you for visiting Digital Fancies. I've had a passion for creating a variety projects using technology for over 30 years. My other life was in public and higher education. As a teacher, I incorporated technology into my classroom at every chance. In doing so, my high school students and I were recognized locally and nationally.

As a college administrator, my department was responsible for training professors and students in the use of technology in traditional and online classrooms. It was exciting. My college was recognized as a leader in e-Learning in the state of Texas. In addition, it was nationally ranked as in the top 10 "Digitally Savvy Colleges" in the nation for many years before I retired. It remains so recognized.
Now, I'm enjoying retirement; however, I remain involved in technology and projects that benefit families and businesses.  Protecting and sharing family photos and even the stories that go with them is a priceless gift to family members. Contributing to the local economy is a another benefit.

Check out out links to see the array of services we offer, and we're still adding to our list. A recent service we began offering is photo manipulation, replacing the background or removing objects from a photo. Another interesting possibility is totally replacing one person with another. Photo manipulation has been around as long photography, but today it is much more sophisticated.
"Our psyches need the stability that possessions bring." That's why we hang on to our old photos, letters, drawings, and other significant and not so significant documents. Unfortunately, sometimes without early planning and sharing, such precious items end up in lonely, tattered boxes in flea markets or antique shops. Don't let that happen to your keepsakes.
